Design and Build
We can build your house using a set of plans created by a home designer or architect. Or, we have home designers in-house that can create plans for you. Our design team utilizes the latest residential CAD software to generate floor plans, elevations, section details, foundation details, electrical and mechanical plans.
We also provide the required engineering structural details and engineered truss drawings. At the end of the design phase, a drawing package is generated that is ready for permitting and construction. A series of in-person meetings, phone calls and email correspondence is typical through the design phase. The design phase typically takes between 2 and 4 months to complete.
We work with your Homeowner’s Association (if required) to obtain approval for construction. We pull the required building permits and begin construction. The build phase of the project consists of the following stages:
- Foundation
- Framing
- Mechanical (HVAC, plumbing and electrical)
- Drywall
- Trim
- Final (flooring, finishes, landscaping, cleanup)
The build phase can vary in duration from 6 to 18 months depending on the size and detail of the project, weather and current market conditions.
Additions and Renovations
We also specialize in custom additions and renovations. We welcome additions or renovations and the challenge of integrating the old and new together. Similar to a custom home build, we can use your plans or develop plans for you. The scope of work and level of finish detail is determined and plans are generated for the project. The steps above are followed for additions and renovations. We are personally involved with each project to ensure a quality, successful outcome.
